About the Author

David (formerly Graham) Cooke lives in West Sussex, is married with 4 adult daughters. He loves his family very much, and is heavily involved in his local church.
They attempted to educate him at Kite Hill then Whitgift School, Exeter University, Guildford College of Law and All Nations Christian College. Let the reader be the judge if they succeeded!
He writes poetry, and has also written a theological analysis of Prophecy which is being prepared for publication. He is a long distance runner, and used to play squash, badly. He is not too good at Crosswords, either.
He travels to various parts of Africa from time to time, where he is involved in sundry projects. He enjoys good red wine, and his many friends, of whom he is very proud.
Born in Surrey, and for many years a south Londoner, now lives in West Sussex, loves the South Downs and their butterflies.
The book "Jonah and Nahum" is intended to open up Old Testament minor prophets to Christians who struggle with mainstream commentaries and Hebrew and Old Testament studies. It is not an academic approach; the idea with Jonah is to provoke thought and discussion, and with Nahum, to challenge assumption and encourage devotions. Those now living face the most serious challenge for the survival of Christianity in the West for centuries. If the book helps, it has been worth the effort.
